  1. The collages made by Nick depict a sense of danger. Whether it is a danger to the audience in which it would stand as a warning, or a danger to those in the picture itself. There is not too many details to work off of within these collages to better define this danger however.

The first collage appears to attempt to warn the audience of some type of danger. The background is a dark gloomy picture which could be hiding the danger that is there. The scene is a little cloudy like a scene out of most horror movies. In the foreground stands a large red hand in a position that would tell a person to wait or stop. The color of the hand could also enclose a hidden meaning. It is a deep red which could denote danger or blood. Whatever it could mean the hand is placed in the collage to keep the audience away from whatever is in the background.

In the second collage a few things stand out which could have some underlying meaning. A bald eagle seems to be the main focus. Bald eagles normally would signal flight or freedom however looking at the statue head with a mean expression it seems like it wouldn’t be either one of those. The eagle could represent the way it is looked at as a species, with respect because of its endangered status. There is also text in the background in a typewriter font but it is hard to tell what kind of meaning it has when it is behind everything of importance and it is impossible to lay a guess as to what it says.

The third collage is made up of an oldtime scene in which a meteorite falls in the middle of the street. Some of the people in the scene appear to be looking at the meteorite when others appear to be walking or running away. No matter what the people are doing however the meteorite appears to be a threat to them and the town itself. There is color added to the rock itself to show that it is still a danger being so hot as to glow red.

These collages depict a sense of danger. From keeping the audience out of a dangerous gloomy background to displaying a meteorite landing in the middle of a town full of people, the danger is well displayed through these collages.
